I am writing to give my highest recommendation to Pedro Mells for academic-based scholarships. Pedro was a student in my MGT-131 Introduction to Human Resources and Ethics course at Tiffin University. Over the past term, I got to know Pedro well and can speak to his abilities.
In working with him, it was very evident that he possessed strong communication skills. In addition to proactively reaching out to me for feedback on his coursework, he was also extremely active in our discussion forums. There, he was very encouraging of his fellow classmates and displayed a business savvy that not all students possess. Additionally, he was enthusiastic and collaborative. In speaking with his peers, his written communication skills in our online environment were top-notch.
In my experience teaching Pedro, I can attest to his strong work ethic and drive to constantly improve. Each week, he would apply previous course feedback to his written assignments. In the seven weeks we were in class, he displayed increased content knowledge and continued to polish his writing. In my opinion, the skills Pedro possesses are much more important measures than letter grades when it comes to real world success.
I am pleased that Pedro is seeking scholarship opportunities so that he can continue pursuing his degree. I have no doubt that he has the skills, focus, and determination to successfully complete a bachelor’s degree in a timely fashion. I believe he will also be a dedicated and competent professional.
